Wildlife - Operation Seabird
Published: 14 April 2022
Operation Seabird is a national partnership that aims to engage with the public, businesses, and organisations to raise awareness about the sensitivities of the coastline, and how simple changes can reduce pressure on our unique wildlife and habitats.
Today, Thursday the 14th of April the Marine Maritime Organisation, Police and other organisations are supporting the first Operation Seabird national awareness day of 2022.
By combining resources of coastal partnerships, management schemes and enforcement agencies, this will form a network that brings together knowledge and expertise promoting a collaborative approach to tackling coastal wildlife crime, marine wildlife disturbance and antisocial behaviour on the coast.
Working with our partners we will be at various sites across the two counties where we will be on hand to answer questions and give guidance on how we may all protect and reduce the pressure on our important marine and coastal wildlife.
You will find us between 1100hrs and 1300hrs at the following locations
National Trust Godrevy, Cornwall, TR27 5ED
Ilfracombe Harbour, Ilfracombe, North Devon EX34 9EQ
Torquay Harbour, Torquay, South Devon, TQ1 2BG
Thank you.
